I always enjoy your discussions, guys – you make a good team, and Daniel’s Disney expertise is especially welcome on this episode. But what’s with pronouncing “Boba Fett” with a short “o” sound? Have you not watched “Jedi” recently? 😉
I am finding it too hard to get worked up one way or the other about this development – if it deducts from my geek cred, so be it, but, eh. It’s all about making money at this point. At least Lucas won’t be involved in the actual creation of the films, so we are more than likely not getting things along the lines of the prequels.
Viva Barsoom! (sniff, sniff – Daniel is likely right)
I’m with Matt. No Disney castle can replace the 20th Century Fox logo and music, Let’s face it, in lots of ways, Eps 7-9 will never feel like “real” Star Wars, anymore than the Clone Wars (as good as it can be) does.
Also, all fannish discussions of what and how to reboot, as fun as they can be, just underscore what a dearth of new ideas there is in Hollywood these days.
Does this mean we can see “Star Wars” characters in “Once Upon a Time”?! After all, what is Star Wars but an outer space fairy tale? 🙂
“Young Jedi” – what is this, Muppet Babies?!? Sheesh. Nothing new under the sun.
(Hey, the Boba Fett cartoon from the Holiday Special is on the Blu-ray release, so the prints must still exist.)

I think that for most fans the only real change is more Star Wars to choose from.
I don’t think Vader will show up in Storybrooke. But an object could show up in Gold’s shop. Or…product placement, we have seen a Tron lunchbox.
