Huzzah! The countdown commences!
Boy, I loved the heck out of ALF when it was first-run. I have been too afraid to go back and check it out as an adult to see if it holds up. I rather suspect it doesn’t. Maybe ALF is ripe for a “grim and gritty” remake. I can see it now: The Dark Melmacian. “Who are you?” “I’m Alf – swear to *me*!”
I am a little tempted to give CAPRICA another try, Ben… I was (and am) so steamed that BSG didn’t see fit to give us a proper resolution, I only watched the pilot. But… we’ll see. As far as the original BSG being “not a good show” (you quoth)… well, yes, there’s some nostalgia inflation, but I’ll have more to say about that shortly in an article for the site.
You wait, both of you – your nostalgia inflation will start kicking in another decade or two, and then you’ll see… Flibbedy floo, said Mike, fast becoming the SFC’s resident Grumpy Old Fan.
Hooray for KRYPTO and LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES! My son and I watched both of those series together faithfully, and they’re a big reason that he’s still interested in superheroes today.
Looking forward to more of the countdown, guys. Star Trek shall not be denied….! (Except for Voyager. One vote is generous for it) 🙂
Just finished listening to episode 150. Now you’re going from a top 10 list to a top 50! Whooboy. I’ll look forward to giving this a listen.
