Thank God it’s up! At long last, the hiatus has ended! (Even though two episodes a week were still being rolled out during your absence.)
Can’t wait to dig into this episode. I’ve been at a newly built and beautiful local library of mine, refreshing the website every few minutes, for this triumphant return. Currently downloading the Mp3. Then I’ll run it through onto my Mp3 player and leave the file up on the library computer desktop for “wider syndication”. 😉
Actually working to upload the post for the Sci Fi Christian Classroom AS I’m listening to Ben describing the expected post for the Sci Fi Christian Classroom….
“Argo” resolved any doubts I had about Ben Affleck as an actor. I think he’ll be fine. Frankly, I had and still have a difficult time getting too excited either way about the casting news, since I don’t really like the idea of a Batman/Superman movie.
“Parsec” is an actual astronomical term, but it refers to distance, not time, which is why Han Solo’s use of it in Ep IV is kinda strange. (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/parsec)
Your anticipation of Episode 7 matches mine, and that is a shame. You’re both right on that. When the best thing I could say about Episode 3 was “Well, at least it didn’t suck,” I knew that the franchise I remembered loving in my childhood was (as Luke says to Vader in Ep 6) truly dead. Flibbedy floo.
PS. I loved Matt’s comment on the “Ben Is Right” mug being ordered: “I’m shocked.” (beat) “And dismayed.” That’s comedy gold, sir! Well done! 🙂
Great episode. Man! It never even occurred to me to do anything but a complete carbon copy of “Ben is right”.
You know, I must say, over-saturation of the “Ben is right” and “Matt is right” clips, will become a genuine concern. There was an artfulness to when, and how often, “Ben is right” was played. Its power must be delicately preserved from this point forward.
Haha, I think it’s too late for that. Plus, to rule that out would be entirely unfair. However, the legacy (or superiority) of each of your clips is up to your own exploitation!

I agree with Wes. For the good of the podcast Matt can’t be allowed to have his own Matt is Right clips
