Not understanding the apathy (it wouldn’t be fair to say “hate”) for E.T. This must be a real generational divide – E.T. was and is beloved among kids of the 80s. Not universally, but I never, not once, heard anyone call E.T. “creepy.” Sheesh!
I do recommend “Metropolis.” It is silent, but beautiful, and provocative even almost a century later. I should rewatch it myself.
And I still have yet to see “Gattaca” — one of these days…
