Not to be a contrarian, but I have to wonder if marathons like this are an outdated concept. Of the shows mentioned here Firefly, Buffy, BSG, Star Trek, Twilight Zone and Eureka are all available through Netflix instant streaming, making it quite simple to have your own marathon any time you want. It seems to me to be yet another way that traditional tv channels are quickly losing relevance
I agree, DVRs are also killing the traditional tv channel. But what else can they do? …Adapt or Die!!
