Currently I am working with Admiral Anderson on a Disney movie top 5.
We have been making our own lists but we would also love to hear from you.
What are your top five Pixar movies and top five non-Pixar Disney movies including live action.
Thanks for the feedback!
[SPOILER ALERT] – I really like The Lion King. But is it my #1? You’ll have to wait for our Disney episode to find out!
I’m sorry, Matt, but the Lion King is the worst Disney Movie ever. It’s filled with horrible morals and lessons for our youth today.
1. Ratatouille
2. The Incredibles
3. Finding Nemo
4. Up
5. Monsters, inc.
1. Lord of the Rings trilogy ( I’m counting them as one because they are all so awesome I can’t split them up.)
2. Batman Begins
3. Inception
4. Star Trek
5. Megamind
Honorable mention Lelo and Stich
I can see that Ace and I are going to have some issues! Ratatouille…hmmmmmm
What?! Ratatouille was awesome!
I promise…I’ll tell you my thoughts on Ratatouille!
Hmm……..I don’t fully trust you …….
Wisdom!
Yes. I have it and you don’t.
Pixar Movies:
1. The Incredibles
2. Toy Story
3. Up
4. A Bug’s Life
5. Wall-e
Disney Movies (Non-Pixar)
1. Tarzan
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Aladdin
4. Rescuers Down Under
5. Duck Tales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp
Duck Tales….very unexpected!
Why is that one of your top 5?
Nostalgia and it was one of those movies that my brothers and I watched over and over again. Of course if they ever had made a Darkwing Duck movie that would have been at the top of the list.
Woah how epic would a Darkwing Duck movie be as Christopher Nolan’s first animated feature!?
That’s an awesome reason!
Pixar Movies
1. Incredibles
2. Up
3. Toy Story
4. Ratatouille
5. Toy Story 3
Disney ( I’m going for just animated, otherwise there are too many to choose from.)
1. Emperor’s New Groove
2. Meet the Robinsons
3. Lilo & Stitch
4. Mulan
5. Treasure Planet
Runners Up
Tarzan, Tangled, Fantasia 2000.
I tried really hard to vote based on quality, not nostalgia.
Pixar runners up are, well, all of them.
Palindrome, why does Emperor’s New Groove rate so highly for you!
I love its style of humor, it was the first meta-humor movie I ever saw. It has a great redemptive story for the main character. All of its characters are quirky and interesting and play off each other well. It was my first exposure to the spectacular voice talents of Patrick Warburton.
Its artwork is beautiful, I love its music. And It’s one of the only disney movies I know where the bad guy doesn’t die at the end. Plus the main character is a llama through most of the movie! So it’s just scads of awesomeness.
