Matt, your Daniel pitch is awesome, and Ben, your Samson idea is brilliant! I would pay good money to see either of those! (Of course, Ben, if Deus himself can’t provide a deus ex machina, who can? Eucatastrophe!)

When Matt said Paul got caught up to “the 14th level of heaven” I thought maybe we were going for a TRON-esque video game fantasy…!

This whole discussion reminds me: Have either of you seen KINGS, the TV series that ran on NBC for less than a season a few years back? It’s not exactly sci-fi, but is an alternate-present-day, slightly futuristic update of the saga of Saul and David from the Hebrew Bible. For example, Goliath is the name of an advanced tank/weapons system that David brings down single-handedly. I still haven’t seen the whole series (and really should, since there’s so little of it), but what I saw, I liked, and I think it got generally good reviews. Very biblically literate scripts, and strong performances.

If Jesus and the Spirit are clones of the Father, they are subordinate to him, and that is heresy (and I thought we covered this two years ago). Besides, the Spirit “proceeds from the Father and the Son” (unless you’re Eastern Orthodox!). Q.E.D. 🙂

Fun epsiode, guys! Now you only need to find yourselves in an elevator with some Hollywood studio exces!
