Wow, you are closing your mind to one of the better sci-fi movies from the 70’s. It’s full of religious allegory and metaphor, so you should. The ending is one of the best in any science fiction movie, ever.

Excellent! The most unfair question is the 5th (Tolkien’s preferred pipe material). To the best of my knowledge, that information isn’t widely publicized. I’d take a look at pictures of him to try and figure it out
